How do I wire money to my River account?

River makes it easy to fund your account with a wire transfer. Follow these step-by-step instructions to complete your wire to your River account.

Step 1: Click "Add cash"

From your homepage, click "Add cash" in the "Cash" section.

Step 2: Select wire

Select "Wire transfer" at the top of the window.

Step 3: Access wire instructions

Onscreen wire instructions will appear. You may also send these wire instructions to your email by clicking “Email me the instructions."

Step 4: Initiate wire from your bank

Open your mobile banking app or log in to your online banking platform. Additionally, you can call or visit your bank and ask to send a wire.

Follow your bank's onscreen prompts, entering the details provided in River's wire instructions.

Step 5: Complete and confirm wire

Check all details to ensure accuracy. All information from River’s wire instructions should be used in the “Beneficiary” section of the wire on your bank’s end.

Complete the wire transfer with your bank, and wait for your bank to confirm via email that your wire transfer has been sent. This may take a couple hours.

Step 6: Wait for processing

River will process your wire transfer once it is received. This usually happens within 3 hours. River does not process wire transfer on weekends.

You will receive a notification once the funds are successfully added to your River account. Please confirm with your bank that your wire transfer has been sent, and please have your Federal Wire Reference Number, or IMAD/OMAD number ready before reaching out to our Client Services team with any questions about your wire.
